Eli Garland stands as not only one of the pivotal co-founders of Prydes Support but also as its driving force, meticulously overseeing its operational dynamics and the pathway to growth. His unwavering enthusiasm for the disability and community services sector is rooted in his earlier days as a dedicated support worker. This first-hand involvement endowed him with an in-depth understanding of complex psychosocial and medical disabilities, setting him apart as someone who seamlessly combines knowledge with empathy.
Beyond the confines of Prydes Support, Eli dons another hat—one of an ardent advocate for youth development. He channels this passion by volunteering with the Australian Navy Cadets. Within this role, he is deeply engrossed in the intricacies of nautical training. This encompasses a spectrum of activities: from hands-on waterborne exercises to the study of intricate navigation techniques, and from delving into maritime history to engaging in thrilling adventurous training sessions.
In a lighter vein, Eli's sense of humour shines through his favourite quote from the iconic 'The Devil Wears Prada': "Is there a reason that my coffee isn’t here? Has he died or something?” This epitomises his wit and zest for life.
